Mark your calendar for the weekend of October 18th and 19th!
You’ll want to be sure to join us!

Hello, PHS Grads and Supporters! Summer is fast approaching, and if you haven’t yet marked your calendars for this year’s Alumni Weekend, please do it soon! This will be the 4th year for the festivities for all graduating classes for the Tailgate Party on Fri. night, Oct. 18th, and for classes 2014 right back to the beginning of good old Pleasant H.S. for the dinner dance on Sat., Oct. 19th, at the Ohio State University Marion Campus.  The Fri. event will be before the  football game against Clear Fork from 5:00-7:00 in front of the High School and will again feature a casual buffet meal, music by Tom Danner Productions, and an optional tour of the Schools. Sign up to attend, and your game ticket is also included in the price for Friday night. Saturday night’s event will again start at 6:00 PM and feature a catered buffet dinner and music of the band from Nashville named Bueller.  Please check them on the website. We are excited this band is coming to perform in Marion.

You will not receive physical tickets to either event, but rather will be on a list and will receive a wrist band upon arrival on both evenings. Saturday night is our marquee event where you will see the MOST people and have the opportunity to socialize with lots of old friends and even meet some new ones from other classes. Since this is 2019, it’s a milestone year for all classes ending in “4” and “9.” This night will also serve as your 5, 10, 15, 20+ reunions! Hey, class of 1979, this is a big year for you, in particular…40 years! We expect a big showing from you guys! And how about you, class of ’74? Can you believe it’s been 45 for you guys?? Wow. And listen up, class of ’89, because you’ve hit the big “3-0”! Congrats! Come celebrate, ALL of you alumni and supporters from ALL classes, your “reunion” work is done! All you have to do is clear your calendars, sign up at the website, and SHOW UP! A great time is guaranteed. Just ask the people who have attended the past two years!

Note about Sat., Oct. 19th: This is an away game for Ohio State playing the Friday night before. We Spartans know how to party AND cheer, right?? So on Fri., the 18th, it’ll be “Fight, fight on for Pleasant High,” and on Sat., the 19th…Celebrate the big win over Northwestern and Clear Fork.

2018 was our third year bringing you this event. The weekend is the collaboration of many of your Alumni and many Pleasant Supporters coming in for the event. Whether a Spartan in the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, or 2000’s….

  1. Who is catering the food? It would be nice if you would take turns and have other alumni with restaurants cater this event as well.

  2. I wish I could be there this year! Is there a way in the future, we may be able to plan the dates a few months earlier? For those of us who live out of state and need to make travel plans (such as flights and hotels). Just food for thought from a Spartan Alum living in Arizona now.

    • Marissa, we announce the next year’s date on the Sat. night of the current event. It’s on the back of the dinner program. You can always contact Dennis or a committee member also. Remember to check this website and our fb page also through the year. Hope you can make it this year, or if not this year, in 2020. Remember you can still always donate if you can’t make the trip back and help that way. Thanks!
